I have another new product!
I’m struggling with follow up work. I feel like I have a fairly good handle on reading through the albums, determining what Funball is ready for, magicking up the materials, and presenting the lesson…but what I don’t know is how to come up with follow up work.
This part of Montessori was missing from her “Montessori” elementary school, so she hasn’t had much practice either. In the last week or so we’ve had some success with self-initiated follow up work on biomes and from the first great lesson…so baby steps 🙂
I created these task cards to provide practice with the decimal fraction board, specifically working with place value and naming. Funball has NEVER liked using the materials (*sigh*), so I also created a mini printable decimal fraction board that she can illustrate, rather than fiddle with the actual material.
Today she helped me test my cards out!
The task cards contain:
★ 8 tasks representing numerical decimal fractions on the decimal fraction board
★ 8 tasks representing word form decimal fractions on the decimal fraction board
★ 8 tasks reading a decimal fraction board and writing numerically
★ 8 tasks reading a decimal fraction board and writing in word form
★ 8 tasks writing an expanded decimal fraction in standard form
★ 8 tasks writing a standard decimal fraction in expanded form
Here’s a few previews for you:
That’s a total of 40 task cards to solidify place value and naming of decimal fractions! Take a look over in the shop!
