There’s a mole in the Coastal Office! Decipher the hidden messages to gather clues. Who’s the suspect? Examine dossier files of agents in the office and use your logic skills to sniff out the guilty party!

The Mole in the Coastal Office is an add-on to my Steganography Packet and  Secrets of Spying Unit Study (and is included in the Unit Study bundle). With two levels of difficulty students could decipher information using:

• The Book Cipher (Levels 1 & 2)
• The NATO Cipher (Level 2 only)
• Reading Morse Code (Levels 1 & 2)
• The Null Cipher (Levels 1 & 2)
• The Scytale (Level 2 only)
• The Pinprick Cipher (Levels 1 & 2)
• The Cardano Grille (Levels 1 & 2)

Also included in the case are additional information cards for cipher methods that are not included in the Steganography Packet or  Secrets of Spying Unit Study

This case can be solved without either of my other products, but you will need books or websites on hand as reference materials.

In addition to the files included in The Mole in the Coastal Office download, you will need:

• 1 sheet of cardstock
• Scissors
• Pin or needle
• Tape (Level 2 only)
• Pen/marker (Level 2 only)
• 3-4 tubes of different diameters (paper towel tube, gift wrap tube, dowels, elc.) (Level 2 only)
• Spy School, by Stuart Gibbs (preferably the 2012 paperback edition, other editions may need adapting)
• Cipher information cards from my Steganography Packet or  Secrets of Spying Unit Study, or library books/websites as mentioned above.
